Comment:

 Closing this as a "wontfix" issue in tor -- which is not to say that
 nobody should work on making lynx or something work better with tor -- but
 rather, to say that this is not something we're going to do as part of our
 current Tor or Tor Browser efforts. If anybody wants to pick this up and
 start working on it, that would be fine with me.
