 I think the middle column is also limited to a fairly narrow width. Here
 is what it looks like in Firefox on a 2560 x 1440 display (scaled to 25%
 here):

 I know that as a general rule text is harder to read when it is displayed
 in a very wide column, but this seems very narrow to me.
