Comment:

 The new map seems to be missing (parts of) Asia, Russia, North America,
 and New Zealand.

 The (Gall-)Peters projection is rectangular equal-area, and the Lambert
 might be (if it's the cylindrical Lambert projection).
 The Mollweide is another option, it's an elliptical equal-area projection.
