 I'm sorry, but unfortunately, we don't produce any official software for
 any Apple devices (yet). We cannot guarantee that app is doing the correct
 thing, and (as you mentioned) it appears to definitely not be doing the
 correct thing. I would recommend that you uninstall it.

 There is another organisation called The Guardian Project, who produce an
 Android app called Orbot. The Guardian Project apps are (AFAIK) the only
 current semi-official solutions.
