 Putting aside the issue of allowing user settings to persist, this
 specific fixed was in
 [https://gitweb.torproject.org/torbirdy.git/commit/?id=b2f6a45bdfebe71072bd9c791a92383ecc087dc2
 b2f6a4] and will be a part of the next release.
