Comment (by proper):

 Deprecation of sha256sums files is bad. Breaks Tor Browser downloaders
 such as torbrowser-launcher and worsens security.

 sha256sum files helped to authenticate filenames... Because...

 GPG signatures do not authenticate filenames: #2340
