 You are right, "aptitude show" is giving me:

 "Version: 1.2.2-1~bpo70+1"

 I have "Debian wheezy" and "http://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org
 repositories"
 in my "/etc/sources.list".

 Debian repositories offer v. "python-stem (1.3.0-1)"

 So "aptitude" may took v. 1.2.2 from "torproject.org" ?
