Comment:

 We have added support for in-band XMPP account registration to Instantbird
 and it is now part of Tor Messenger.  (Added via commit
 [https://gitweb.torproject.org/tor-messenger-
 build.git/commit/?id=c2f960e563837f6f9e56954cf4dd9f35489b2d13
 c2f960e5638].)

 We will be merging the patches upstream;
 [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=955317 #955317] is the
 upstream ticket for this feature.
