 How do you expect build system xyz to fix the problem you're describing.
 If you switch build system but still use hard links to dependencies...
 congratulations you just wasted time migrating build system without fixing
 the problem. You could fix the build file to get rid of the problems,
 which I've described, but no, you don't want to do that. (QQ need to make
 another ticket for *all* the changes to build.xml--yeah that makes sense).
 You want to change build system. It must be nice getting a pat on the back
 for making work for yourself. I bet it makes you look good to sponsors,
 who probably don't get it.

 Though I have nothing against any of the other build system. It's just
 humorous to read you try to fix the problem with another build system.
 Hopefully you actually do migrate build system. Then I can create a ticket
 when it doesn't fix any of the problems.
