 Another option might be to use whatever OS you prefer (e.g. Debian Jessie)
 for the build VM, and have the build system download the oldest glibc we
 want to support somewhere ({{{apt-get source eglibc/oldstable}}}), and
 export whatever environment variables are needed so that everything is
 built against that older libc instead of the system one. No idea how it's
 doable in practice, you'll know better :)
