 I experienced the same behavior using Tor Browser 4.5-alpha-1.

 While using Tor Browser, a dialog was displayed indicating that a script
 was not responding.  I believe that the script URL started with "chrome:"
 and I clicked on a button that said something like "Stop script".  I am
 now unable to close tabs in that window, either by clicking on the "X" in
 the upper-right corner of the tab or by pressing Control+W.  I can open
 new tabs.  If I drag a tab outside of the window, a new window is opened
 but the tab does not close.  If I open a new window, I am able to open and
 close tabs in that window.  I'll try to leave this window open in case
 there's anything I can do to collect more information.
