 > * We need to make this easier to find. At a minimum, the "Privacy and
Security Settings" should be selected when the Torbutton Preferences
window is first opened. But I still think this should be presented at
 first run of the browser.

Selecting it first sounds good to me. But I am still torn wrt showing this
on start-up and how. E.g. if we show the slider and maybe explaining
things I bet users get scared as the slider is by default on "Low" (and,
honestly, who wants to have LOW security, everybody wants to have HIGH
security). So, what I expect to happen is a lot of people putting the
slider to "High" forget about it and start complaining why the web is
broken. This might, of course, just indicate that our wording is bad
regardless where the slider gets shown but having sane defaults and having
the slider for people who want to "tune" their experience while not
exposing themselves too much wrt fingerprintability seems to me a good way
to go. And for this model we might not need yet another dialog on start-
 up.

 > * The slider UI is nice. Hints as to what the settings actually do are
definitely a "must have"; otherwise, users have no idea what the tradeoffs
are among the different settings. Maybe provide a very short explanation
next to each slider position and place a larger text box below that
displays a fuller explanation that changes as you change positions?
 Experimentation is needed.

Yes, we need definitely add something along these lines.

 > * I want to be able to click the text to switch slider positions. I'd
categorize this as "nice to have."

 Good idea.
