Comment:

 The only reasonable options as I understood them were far out in the
 suburbs, which didn't work so well when our venue was in the middle of
 town.

 Instead we went the more decentralized route of asking people to find
 their own hotel. Hopefully this approach will also scale better in the
 future, since paying for N hotel rooms as N grows isn't something that Tor
 can do without a budget line for the dev meeting.

 The tradeoff of course is more work for the individuals attending, and
 also it's harder for people to hang out in the same place at night.
