Comment (by mikeperry):

Right. In fact, nothing in this design here even prevents us from adding a
list of default "Tor" type bridge IPs to that dropdown without a code
change, but I certainly don't think they should be the default.

Again, these would be hardcoded IP+port pairs for the "Use default
bridges" dropdown, and this selection has nothing to do with the
copy+paste UI box (which is only activated if you use custom bridges).

One possible takeaway from mttp's confusion is that perhaps the "Use
default bridges" dropdown should become greyed out if the "Use Custom
Bridges" radiobutton is selected, so that it is more clear to the user
that the dropdown type is not applying to the custom text entry. It
probably should also be the case that the "Use Custom Bridges" and its
entrybox should be greyed if "Use Default bridges" is selected, to make it
more clear that the two options are mutually exclusive.

 Would this improve the situation?

If so, I am inclined to think that change should probably either be part
of #11071, or under a new ticket (ie "Improve bridge entry UI" that has
#11071 as a child or something). There may be other forms of confusion
that we learn about as this is deployed.
