Comment:

 This would require clients to fetch the full search index from the server,
 even if they only want to perform a single search.  That index currently
 holds 17515 entries and is 3.8M big (not only required for the `search`
 parameter, but also for the other ones).  Clients would have to make a
 huge number of requests to make this approach more efficient than just
 making a new request for each search.  I think this is a bad idea, so I'm
 closing the ticket.
