 I say 100KBytes/s on the faq and the relay pages.

 But it's true that a 100KBytes/s relay is only minimally useful these
 days.

 Tickets like #1854 argue that 1MByte/s is a good floor for a relay that
 will meaningfully contribute.

 The situation is complicated by the fact that it's not just about
 bandwidth, but it's also about diversity of location -- I assume a lot of
 people looking at the EFF Tor relay challenge are setting up their shiny
 new relays at the same big hosting provider as the last person, so maybe
 we're actually *decreasing* our diversity (and at the same time being
 inefficient with the hosting fees, since teaming up for one huge relay
 would typically get charged less (not to be confused with costing less,
 since bandwidth is often free if you don't go the route where they try to
 charge you).
