 The test (above) was quick and dirty, but suggests increased memory
 consumption. Mozilla will probably not accept a change that increases
 footprint by 30 Mo when selecting large text blocks.

 I'll implement Georg's suggestion of changing this logic only when in
 Private Browser Mode.
