Comment:

 Thanks for this ticket -- the issue has now been fixed (in `develop`
 branch). The reason for this is that initially when we started, we were
 not focusing on restoring the preferences we were enforcing (other than
 the account and proxy settings) but rather setting them to Thunderbird's
 default. But clearly, we should be restoring everything to the user's
 default settings rather than restoring Thunderbird's defaults, which is
 now the case.
