 In the mean time, it might be useful to make it clearer in the interface
 that it won't make the account for you.

 (I just started up my Tor Messenger, and it asked what sort of account I
 wanted, so I picked xmpp. Then it asked for what username I wanted, so I
 said 'arma235'. I figured either it would have a default xmpp domain in
 mind, or it would ask me which one I wanted or something. Then it asked
 some unrelated questions, so I figured I was all set. Then at the end it
 complained "Error: Invalid username (your username should contain an '@'
 character)". So I went to the bugtracker to report the bug ("it should
 have told me earlier"), and nowhere in that process did I even realize
 that it wanted me to pick an account that I'd already made externally.)
