 Thanks. Pretending I don't have root access to the git-rw server,  or
 other git repos already there, I tried the instructions at
 https://gitweb.torproject.org/githax.git?a=blob;f=doc/Howto.txt;hb=HEAD,
 which results in this:

 ~~~~
 fatal: '/var/cache/git/tor-blog.git' does not appear to be a git
 repository
 fatal: Could not read from remote repository.
 ~~~~

 .git/config url parameter is:

 ~~~~
 url = ssh://git.torproject.org/var/cache/git/tor-blog.git
 ~~~~

 What's wrong?
