 It appears I started some work here in a branch called 'ed25519'.  But now
 I'm starting a new branch, 'ed25519_ref10', thinking that we should start
 by using the ref10 implementation by default, and only doing something
 more complex if this turns out to matter in our profiles.  (see comment
 https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/8897#comment:15 for the
 dangers of premature optimization here.)
