 Great. I've since pushed a few more fixes, mainly because my x86_64 fixes
 broke x86, so nothing that you'd need urgently.

 I managed to build (fairly minimal builds of) Python 2.7.5 for both
 Darwin-x86 and Darwin-x86_64 using a Linux-x86_64 hosted clang 3.3 and I
 ran both successfully on OSX.
