 Looks okay to me. How did you test this?

 For a better name for the field, "for_discovery" doesn't make sense to me.
 Words "Provisional" or "probationary" or make more sense.  That's fine as
 a separate patch for 0.2.5.

 (This function is approaching the critical threshold of boolean arguments
 where all code using it will be unreadable without care.  Not something to
 fix in 0.2.4 though.)
