Comment:

 Branch "bug9928" in my public repository has a simple belt-and-suspenders
 fix.  The commit is
 [https://gitweb.torproject.org/nickm/tor.git/commit/17bcfb2604ba3c20a78cdcc78f169b4db6927d25
 over here.]  It's against 0.2.3, but I suspect it should apply cleanly to
 later versions too.
