 This indeed a compiler bug fixed in the .1 release
 https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-4.4/4.4.3-4ubuntu5.1 which points
 to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/931637 which
 points to the relevant Mozilla and GCC bug entry.
