 notes to self: use git's -M flag to see what moved and what got deleted.

 I need to confirm that build.nsi is really supposed to be gone.

 I need to do another pass over this stuff after merging these to see
 whether there's anything else that should be removed rather than
 relocated.

 I need to 'make distcheck'.
