Comment(by saint):

 Bridges also increase access to facebook, so it would seem to be a bit of
 cutting off the nose to spite their face.

 Without delving into personal feeling about Facebook's history with
 privacy, I think it's worth a shot. Minimal time investment with a large
 potential reward.
