 Confirmed, the bug is still present in tor browser bundle 2.3.25-5 for
 linux (based on firefox 17.0.4). :(

 I've also noted that firefox extensions (and greasemonkey scripts) that
 would force firefox to display the alt attribute (besides the title
 attribute) also don't work; maybe there is a common cause?
