Comment:

 Branch "bug2077_share_delete" in my public repository .  Roger and Andrea
 said that the basic idea seemed sane to them (modulo our mutual lack of
 window fu), so I'm going to call this "already reviewed" and merge it into
 0.2.4 to see whether it makes that unit test pass again on windows.
