Comment:

 Oh.  There's actually a ruleset for The Verge itself, but it only affects
 XHR requests to the site, and those are not successfully associated with
 the window.  From the logs:

 I am fixing this specific issue by disabling the ruleset, but this is a
 larger open bug.
