 So, I really want to do this change (if it makes a difference) but so far
 it sounds like that no tested applications are actually fixed by this fix
 so far.  We should figure out:

   * what apps we need to test
   * whether this fix actually fixes any of them
   * whether this fix actually breaks any of them.

 Any takers there?
