Comment:

 Normally, we do callouts on blog.tpo or on the tor-dev mailing list. As a
 bridge operator, I would frankly be rather annoyed to get a plaintext
 "Welcome!" email.

 I am going to close this as "won't fix". If someone has something more to
 say, or some compelling reason to keep this ticket floating around, then
 feel free to reopen it.
