 You might rebase it to remove the bonus blank line introduced in
 098b085a89. Unless you wanted it there.

 Also, it would be wonderful to add a few sentences under the TLS_WANTREAD
 case that explain what's going on. That will sure help the next developer
 struggling with related issues.

 And finally, should we merge into 0.2.3, since we expect to want it there
 too?
