Comment(by andrea):

 Valgrind with rebased branch as a client and providing a hidden service
 finds no evident leaks, but some channels (Valgrind reports memory as
 still rechable) are left open at exit time.  I should add a channel
 cleanup wherever connections get cleaned up when handling SIGTERM.
