 Just to add: tried "GETINFO ns/id/<node_id>", but get "551 Data not
 decodeable as hex".

 Don't know what that means! If it is related to the node id, it is the
 "standard" node ID format used everywhere - '$' followed by 40 hex
 characters. I also tried without the '$' character, but no joy there
 either.
