Situations necessitating a text only web browser with Tor.

 Specifically regarding "lynx-cur" [latest updated/Debian/testing/amd64
 here http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/lynx-cur ]

 I have tried https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/query for
 "lynx","lynx+tor","lynx tor","lynx-cur+tor","lynx-cur tor","text only web
browser", etc. ... no significant queries (to me.)

 I see:
 https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/TorifyHOWTO/WebBrowsers
(April 2012) and understand "lynx-cur" is in freeze for now:
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?package=lynx-cur ...

Third link, from top, shows "lynx" ("lynx-cur" dummy package) near bottom
under "'''Warning! This section is mostly outdated / incomplete. Rather
use the advice above. Web browsers'''" ... I am scouring the Internet for
lynx+tor, lynx-cur+tor, text browser+tor+2012, etc., and not finding any
answers yet as to lynx being even considered safe with an already proven
safely torified (TBB) pc/network (again, Debian/testing/amd64, in my
 case].

I ask especially as I wish to be able to search the Internet when I run
into S mode only or "safe" mode (however infrequent that might be.)
