 We check for conditions like if (!(circ->n_chan->state ==
 CHANNEL_STATE_CLOSING || circ->n_chan->state == CHANNEL_STATE_CLOSED ||
 circ->n_chan->state == CHANNEL_STATE_ERROR)) a lot; there should be more
 concise test macros.
