 How about pointing this at a real tor 0.2.3.x client? It should accept
 username + password and isolate by default.

 As for testing on the actual channel, Torbutton has an on-modify-request
 observer in the torbutton_http_observer object in torbutton.js. I suppose
 you could hack it in there:
