Comment:

 I just encountered the same problem on iPhone. I did eventually figure out
 the three-stripes button, but it is confusing because the text says "enter
 your search in the above box to get started" but there is no such box
 initially. The text should be reworded to "click the three stripes above
 to get started" if it's not going to show the search box.
