     THING_get_PROP(const *THING_t thing, DST_t *dst);  /* I think I'd
 prefer s/_get_//1/.  */
     THING_set_PROP(THING_t *thing,       const SRC_t *src);

 It conflicts with the common

     copy_THING(THING_t *dst, const THING_t *src);
