 So to be clear , we have two branches; karsten's "bug5058" and nils's
 bug5058-nils?

 It appears that karsten's thing is suitable for 0.2.3.x (since it's
 minimal) and the Nils version is suitable for 0.2.4.x (since it's a new
 feature).

 Karsten, I am not seeing any change to the return value of
 geoip_get_country_by_addr() for ipv6 addresses?
