 state in trac.
I am sorry for the plan but assure that the motivation was genuine.
Assigned implicates "ah, cool, someone is working in it, I can do
something else" = no more attention, rotting here without resolution
 possibly.
While new implicates "no on has taken it yet".

to start. Torbrowser includes tor and vidalia, so installing those two are
 redundant.

The question only pops up as portable software for Linux is quite uncommon
(compared to portable software for windows, i.e. portableapps.com).

 > And where would a .deb install to? ~/tor-browser_$(lang)?

Are there any reasons that this wouldn't be a fine solution?
