 Okay.  I'd like to request the use of named intermediate temporary
 variables here; this expression is very hard to read.

 Also, 1.5*(a/B)/(c/D)  for B and D constant reduces nicely to
 1.5*(a/c)*(the constant B/D).  Is there a reason not to think of this
 expression this way?
