 Actually reproduced under Ubuntu 12.04 with Vidalia 0.2.21

 1. make install tor(now tor should be in /usr/local/bin).
 2. start Vidalia with default settings(path to tor executable is set to
 "tor")

 I expect:
 Tor is launched by Vidalia

 I get:
 Vidalia can't find tor.

 Possible solution:
 It looks like there is no need to change a path to absolute in case of
 UNIX.

 I attach a small patch.
