Comment:

 Worthwhile, but there's a workaround, so I'm going to say "postpone for
 0.2.4.x."  I want to get 0.2.3.x out the door.

 If anyone feels strongly, I'd take a patch to warn the user if they try to
 do this in 0.2.3.x
