 I've been tending toward 'no' lately. Some directions to consider:

 - Good guys set it, and bad guys don't.
 - It significantly reduces the available first-hop entropy (some of our
 big guards are in a family), thus improving attacks by bad guys who would
 sign up relays and hope you pick them as a guard.
 - The ability to observe and correlate at the network and upstream level,
 rather than relay level, is poorly understood and probably very important
 here.
