 I think git provides more flexibility than svn. This will cause problems
 as people have local git repos that get out of sync with one another. Who
 is responsible for merging branches? Who is responsible for cherry-picking
 commits? Who is responsible for handling conflicts?

 If we had a dedicated webmaster, they would be the obvious person. I fear
 I become the webmaster in this situation.
