Comment:

 How does it fare with the 0.2.2 vidalia bundle, now that 0.2.2.x is
 stable?

 My first thought is that the libevent on your os x, or the kqueue
 implementation on your os x, is broken and would need to be disabled. But
 maybe the newer libevent in the 0.2.2 bundles just solves it?
