 I'm not sure if you're still reading this ticket, I tried to CC you but I
 didn't find such an option. I thought you'd be like to know I tried
 decompressing the most current TBB release (2.2.32-3) dir over the
 previous release (2.2.32-4) dir on my Windows XP SP3 box, like you
 described Linux people can do (I also use Ubuntu). To my surprise and
 happiness doing so on Windows (at least XP SP3) has (nearly) the same
 result as on Linux. That is, all my add-ons, user.js file and even
 bookmarks are carried over to the new TBB when it overwrote the old TBB.
 The only config changes I had to make in the newest TBB was for add-ons
 that ship with TBB, because I don't use default config for NoScript and
 the new NS overwrote the settings for the old NS.
