 Okay, I like this now.  I've reviewed it a bunch, and if there are more
 bugs here, I'm not seeing 'em at the moment.

 I got a bunch of merge conflicts in rendservice.c , mostly related to
 router->node shifts.  Please review 628b735fe39e13cc37afb carefully.
